aww cheers, baddie_azzie. appreciate the cyber hug! more importantly... how's your home coming along?!

The progress is amazing - in the space of 2 weeks I have taken an empty house, furnished it, got new curtains measured, made, delivered and up for every room, had an entire bathroom ripped out and a new one installed and the room totally re-tiled ...with hot-water shower too ...(I can actually use it tomorrow), gas piped in from outside and not a calor bottle in my bedroom as was suggested to me(hahaha). I had all the locks changed.
I bought a huge selection of plants for the patio and the balcony. Had new garden furniture & all white-goods delivered and am just sat in the garden, drinking a cup of tea & watching my builders clean up ahhhhhh nice
Surely someone said that things do not move quickly here...? I must have mis-heard.
Personally I am amazed that I was able to buy all my stuff in just a few trips, considering the traffic and the 'season'.

My builder is a total diamond - if anyone in this area needs work doing PM me I will happily put him in touch with you.

Ah bcww...
I have been covered in cement dust and plater dust for days - I just needed to feel clean with HOT water... and I did not have a shower before - it was just a hosepipe
But yes I like the cold showers here too.

fair enough. i suppose it never feels clean washing off hair conditioner in cold water either.

I am gooooooooooooooooooood
I woke up alive -amazingly- and I then ventured out - tentatively- to Immigration to extend my visa.
My back is still f***ed but hey-ho these things are sent to try us. The polisi tidur are just a bit cruel if hit at any speed over 1kmh.
The visa process was a breeze - so far.
I return in 2 days to pay... and they took my passport- I am told this is a good sign.

I can at last, sit back for a bit and rest up (the "pampering", bcww, will consist of a hot shower and putting my poor aching feet up).
The 2 year old told me she wanted "to go to sleep" (in English) last night... amazing how fast she is picking up and correctly using English words- I have never tried to 'teach' her any.
