There is a term "Debat Kusir" in Indonesian : the terminology for the debate/argumentation which the purpose is not to find a solution/truth, but merely the fake feeling being the winner of the debate. The content of the debate itself is valueless, it doesnt give any good impact to the betterment of any thing in real life.

I do debate/argumentation only if the content is worthwhile. I am never interested to join a game of argumentation which the purpose is merely an intelligence contest lacking of intellectual manner, mocking and disrespecting other beliefs & countries, and ignoring whatever truth/evidence presented. Talking with an Ignorant like that is called "seperti berbicara dengan tembok" (like talking with a wall).

My initial purpose in joining the forum is to practice English, share information to expats to make their living enjoyable, and to find great people who will be real friends. Forum is a great place to keep my mind running again when I am stuck by chatting with great people here, and I'll keep it that way and away from "Debat Kusir". Now I see myself a bit hooked up and it costs time, I have to deactivate I'll come back again if I think I have detached from the addiction and see the advantage over disadvantages of joining the forum, or I may not. Can't be decided yet

I'll still be around for a couple of weeks in the forum, waiting for replies of the messages I sent to wonderful members who happen to be non-regular forum visitors.

I know of a woman who left everything to go with a man and when she arrived in front of him he said he wouldn't leave his wife...

She really was naive then I guess - maybe she should have had a back up plan. We all live and learn though.

Hard for me to agree with this - if it wasn't for the internet I would never have discovered Java... I met some fantastic people on the wonder web- I met a few jerks too - but far more keepers than losers. Thankfully

As for my day- I woke up at 9-00 after 4 hours sleep - following an (erm) eventful webcam chat with my most beloved- darned time zones!

I was supposed to be writing a paper for uni, oops- I forgot to do that... maybe tomorrow.

I had a meeting with a strange woman who turned up at my house 15 minutes early for our appointment- directed her to the kitchen, left her to make coffee and shot off into my room to get dressed- I was just out of the shower when she arrived ('cos i had been in here time-wasting, shame on me ).

I spent the rest of my day doing all the crappy stuff that is involved with selling/buying houses and emigrating and feeling homesick for Bandung. Missing it to the extent that I am planning a quick return trip for just a week - is it really worth it though, it is such a long journey?

I just spent an hour on the phone with one of my ex-children (she is now married). I love to chat with her she lights up my day she is so happy and cheerful.
