Sorry to say this, but it seems like you'll be staying for a few more years however the accommodation sucks.

What were you doing during the past 6 years?

Half a million dollars? Try 43,000 dollars

I was curious about the same thing. How did you support yourself for as long as you were in Indonesia?

It is a criminal offence, don't kid yourself.

Ask yourself this, is there special detention for foreigners in your country? Nope, in with the rest of them.

Gosh....overstaying 6 years is perhaps a new record. What have you done here during the past 6 years, just having a great holiday ?? I guess you also made your money here for your living, working illegal not paying taxes etc....Where are you from anyway ?? You should inform your Embassy before you try to sort out with the immigration, even though the Embassy can not much help but at least they will know about your little problem thus may can assist later on.

Serious situation and I shouldn't joke about it, but (can't resist) maybe you could jump on a boat to Australia like hundreds of others - there you probably will get free wifi.
Sometimes I feel I must be lexdysic.

Well, life in the West sucks as we all know it. That's why I stayed here. Oh and for those asking how I could support myself well I have been doing online poker and it has been profitable for me, easy income but I didn't save money for this big fine, I was just spending spending. And lately I have been a little down on my luck anyway as the Russian players aren't as common

That'll be useful in your defence, you were supporting yourself playing illegal on line poker in Indonesia.

You would have been much better off in China as getting even a working visa is not the problem that it is here in Indonesia.

Actually online poker is not illegal, there are tons of "brokers" and they are even certified by financial regulatories.

Anyway life is so bad back home, I would be making €1400 minus the rip off taxes back home if I was lucky due to unemployment situation, the people are cold and unfriendly and the dare I say masculinized women stingy unlike here.

I don't really have anything to add, just wanted to make sure that line gets the attention it deserves.

Masculinized and stingy...I guess assertive, frugal women make the OP uncomfortable. Could be he ends up in a place where he will find out what its like to be feminized?

While online gaming is legal in many jursidictions around the world, gambling is most definitely illegal in Indonesia. However, I am not sure if the laws here have caught up with the whole newfangled internet thing. When you are questioned by the officials about how you survived all these years in Indonesia, I would not volunteer that you gambled online the past 6 years.

I've already booked my ticket and supposed to be flying out next week. also I only have 25juta on my pocket, would that be ok as a fine?

Why you now want to go back to your country, after 6 years ?? Understand that you are from Russia (correct me if I'm wrong) and life and ladies there are not your cup of tea. 6 years playing poker online and as you said, making enough money for your living. Well, how did you manage to get the money here if you don't even have a bank account ??

If it was me i would seriously be taking this option or similar, not as crazy as it sounds.

I know the guy has done the wrong thing, but i do feel sorry for him, it would suck in itself and be a lot of stress just knowing one day your going to have to deal with it all.
