To shave or not to shave

Do you shave your baby’s hair clean after they were born ? Will that makes any different if its not be done ? I did it my self with my 2 older girls when they were about a month old, but feel like I dont want to do it to Cleo. People say it will make the hair a lot more better and black compare to not having them shaved. Mom keeps calling me everyday to ask if its done already before she grows older than now, but still I dont have the heart to do it.

There's only one way to be sure whether shaving will promote thicker, blacker hair on your baby: shave one half of Cleo's scalp and leave the other half untouched, then compare hair growth.

Bald is Beautiful - it will thicken up the hair and also give it an even growth rate - dont have to shave it bald (gundul) as her scalp will be very sensitive at this age. You should however just close crop it - then every time you rub her head you will remember me

Another story about hair; thank God I had natural curly eye lashes. My mom told me that my nurse had cut my eye lashes when I was baby (don't know how old)
One day, one of my friend asked me how to get curly lashes like mine? I said the same like what my mom told me so.
What made me shock? She dare to cut her eye lashes on her age (adult) - might wishing for a long curly lashes will grow

Yep, one of the many superstitions, especially popular over here.

We could fill a whole thread with that Indische bijgeloof....
Not with three persons on a picture since that is bad luck. Not while pregnant standing between the door and door frame. If pregnant, don't get scared since it will deform your child. Cut a piece of your hair when you had a bad dream. Sprinkle salt in front of doors to fight off evil. Sage burning for protection. No nail clipping in the evening. Don't put rice on the ground. Don't open umbrella in the living room. No shoes on the table. Make a lot of noise when there is an eclipse. Never buy your own wallet, otherwise this will never be filled. If you drop something sharp like a knife or scissors on the ground, blow on it otherwise you get into an argument/fight. Don't sing while eating, otherwise your will marry with a mad person. Dreams about birds mean pregnancy. Never put your purse on the ground but always somewhere elevated, otherwise the money will roll out.
