In post number 56 of this thread, I made an attempt at a joke, a VERY bad one it seems.
Such that it seems I offended a few people and I would like to publicly apologize for any offense that was taken, it was my mistake.

this caused some consternation, and no doubt additional work for our hard working moderators.

My thanks to them ( especially Puspawarna )for pointing out this inappropriateness, my own stupidity for posting it, and anyone whom I did offend if they are prepared to accept my apologies.

I did consider removing the post, but then it would not serve as an example to others.

The OP mentions Kingwilly who was banned. Prior to the banning he was a self-confessed red-brick guy. He gave me many just because he likes to annoy and bait. When I complained others gave me green just to cancel his reds.

IMO the system leads to the annoyance that the OP is discussing... maybe we should research whether we should continue with this system as it can lead to abuse.

You had an opportunity to lead others less knowledgeable about Indonesia and you decided to be derisive.... and got banned.

Do you intend your future posts and self-confessed attribution to continue...... or do you welcome the current behaviour that Atlantis has indicated is acceptable?

I hope the latter...... so we can all move on AND benefit from others, like your, experience and information.
