When I clicked on the "like" button, it switched to "unlike" and put a 1 next to it. It now appears that one person "unliked" BA's post, or something, and that my "like" click had no effect.
It shows as a like Pusp I'd thank you for liking my post...but seeing as I was a mere experiment, well.....

I think the secret is to refresh the page after any & all actions...???........... or not???

I am unsure, is a drop of 5% an improvement?

I now keep getting the wait 5 seconds before searches message... even after waiting way longer than 5 s.
New posts are not showing up, the new topics label is naff.
The "forum activity" in the old format was a lot more useful.

I can only apologise to new users hoping for some help in here, as I doubt they will be getting the level of "service" that used to occur. Even if they get replies, will they know how to find them?

I have been posting all these last days without interruption , except last Thursday (?) that I also did post some posts but one failed with an error message : "not approved" (I didn't do anything unusual) .

The moderators are miffed they were ignored when this new format appeared...yet I recall reporting to them on numerous occasions in the last few weeks, including, as advised by rules, making a protest to the owner of the forum on two occasions, and had NO response whatsoever from either.
I didn't get miffed as I concluded it must be Forum policy to simply ignore protesting contributors. It now appears it could have been a hiccup to the forum's change-over....or maybe just Karma and I should expect a response soon.
It doesn't matter as the subject I was commenting about is no longer a function in the new format.....

I have no idea what I have read or not read, says I have unread posts so, I go to the pages, nothing new there at all, cannot "dismiss" as there is always an error telling me I cannot.

btw - I did not log in as JC lol @jaime & jason
    [edit]
to all the mods, I certainly appreciate the time and effort you have put in to keeping the boards "tidy" & safe.
It is appalling that you didn't get advance notification.
Paman really you should have been responding to this & to PM as you asked for feedback- I can only imagine that you don't know how to work the damn thing either now too.

If you can't keep your mods up to date on changes, I certainly wouldn't blame them for leaving the forum. Of course if the forum is so hard to use, most of the members will no longer frequent it, either.

As I tried navigating around the site and repeatedly refreshing, it kept alternating between logged out, jason206, Jaime C. What the hell is going on?! How is that possible? Not that I have anything private in my account, but I would hope that no other users have access to my messages and private account info. Of course, I couldn't post anything on here because I kept getting error messages. Is it working now? We'll find out in a sec.
Hey, I don't get to log in as anyone else! Not fair.

Apparently I can post again. It's like forum roulette over here. This site is now literally unusable for me, most of the time. Mods, thanks for informing us on your decision and explaining for some of us newer members who might not know. I was blaming you guys for all this! Please know that we really do appreciate the work and attention that you have put in. Hopefully you all can return when you're ready.
