How to become protestant before getting married ?

Hi everyone,
I have no religion and want to marry my Protestant Indonesian girlfriend.
My first question is, how are they supposed to know if I have a religion or not, and if I have one which one it is ?
Could I just say that I am Protestant or do I need to produce some documents ?

If I do have get baptised or produce some documents, obviously it would only be for the purpose of the marriage, can I just find a church and get that document ? I guess there is a process to become protestant but I would rather find a church ready to produce the necessary documents easily.

I will go soon visit some churches in Legian, Bali and ask, would be great to have some input in advance and know what to expect if someone went through the same process :-)

Just a matter of interest, if the foreigner did get baptized and issued a baptism certificate by the church in his own country previously, is the certificate needed to get legalized (and probably professionally translated) by a diplomatic mission of Indonesia before it can be used for marriage purpose?

I won't get married abroad. I will search of a church and check with them on the process to become christian, hoping they will not make it too hard :-)
