Wow a race question, I would strongly suspect she is just plain old Indonesian, especially if she has an Indonesian passport

I don't think any impact if you fill with Manadonese or Indonesian.
In different occasion I filled my race as Indonesian, Javanese, Malay, Asian - no problem at all.

If she was born in the republic of Indonesia she is Indonesian simple as that.

If Singapore cared they would have made the question a lot more specific by now. Don't worry about it, just say "Indonesian" and forget about it. If they don' like it they can talk to you about it and you can ask them what you should put. I seriously doubt they will question you though.

I'd say you can put: Asian/Indonesian...as long as you don't tell your wife she's a plain, old Indonesian lol. (sorry it's a pretty non-eventful Friday...)

Race distinction is just BS, anyway, unless it is part of your personal identity. So just ask her, maybe she cares. My wife would not be happy if I put her down as anything other than "Indonesian", but I only know that because she told me. Her telling me that is also the only reason I would ever care how she was racially identified. It's her business and I've got nothing to say unless it is from her.

If she is from Tondano I assume that she is Minahasan. Through it is an ethnical group it is what I would answer to the racial question for my wife who is also a Minahasan.

Alternatively if she is from Sulut and not Minahasan she maybe either be Sanger or Gorontalo but I doubt it. Not many "outsiders" in Tondano.

                        Asian will do,i think.
Like....it is for PR app, must be referring to a bigger group of race than just local Indonesian race group such as Javanese/Sundanese/etc.....
I bet it would of refer to Asian/Caucasian/...
                        Maybe ¿?

I have seen Indonesian with Singapore IC race as Javanese though.

and in Singapore more common are Chinese/Malay/Indian/Caucasian/

just to make sure, if I input as indonesian . and happen that they label it as malay , my wife wont be happy about that.
