Christian marriage in Jakarta-Bogor

Hi everyone,
Me and my boyfriend would like to get married in Jakarta or Bogor, but it seems to be impossible...
Myself I'm protestant, and member of a church in Bali, where I was working before.
My boyfriend is French-Italian, non-religious.
As my family is here, we want to get married here. But churches make it hard.
First, most of them wouldn't accept if we're not members for at least 6months. And they want us to attend counseling, christians lessons, for few months to one year, but my bf isn't staying here (even more that he's not christian) and my self neither, as we move a lot.
Then, few will accept but or they'll ask astronomical amount, at least 10.000.000 (normally it's around rp300.000) or when asking them more information about the price for example, no more answers, silence....
So, we still looking for an honest church, and if someone knows a good one in jakarta, bogor or around, we'll be really thanksfull!

you can get married in a church where your parents go to. or in a church (in jkt) that is under one denomination with your church in bali.
about the marriage counseling, every church has different regulation, but so far that i know, protestant marriage lesson wont take to 6 months. GKi is the longest and it's only 6 lessons. catholic will take longer .. but for sure not 6 months to a year..
my cousin lives in spore and he got married in church in jakarta, without the 6 week lessons ( at his mom's church), the material was given in papers and he had to read it and later on the pastor asked my cousin and his gf , any question? ..

i suspect they dont want to bless your marriage (by giving big amount of money etc) since your bf is not a believer. as a church, they are not supposed to do the holy matrimony except both are believer.
if you find a church that able to do the matrimony, then am sure, its not the honest church.

soooo glad that eventhough I'm Catholic, things were made sooo easy for us.

I thought that it'll be less complicated in the Protestant church.

Btw, why don't you get married in Bali? They can arrange it so that it'll be less complicated for you.

Hi Maria..my name is monica.
After searching some church here for few months then finally yesterday i've got replied,that me and my fiance'e ( he live at Scotland and work there) can marriage here in Jakarta.

Some Christian church here also make me down and hopeless for few times even we talk heart to heart to the priest, they still want us to baptist first ( we have catholic baptist sertificate but they want us to baptist with christian way) and also they ask us to counseling pre marriage. the point its they can't help to bless us.

but it's done now.. the one priest so very kind and give us dispensation too for counseling schedulle cause my fiancee not live here. if you still difficult to find church who would help you both, you can contact me and i will help you about this.

Just go to Singapore or Thailand to married and registered here ... more easy and simple ... and u can make party here after that.... and i do that too and we staying in Bogor now have 4 kids already....
